Black Hills Born & Raised
Hey, I’m Henry Ulrich—your local, licensed, laugh-loving Realtor® in Rapid City, South Dakota, and the friendly face behind Henry Roy Real Estate at Ascend Realty.
I was born and raised in the Black Hills, so when I say I know this area—I mean it. I’ve hiked it, biked it, photographed it, and probably tripped over a rock in it. Whether you're buying your first home in Rapid City or selling a property out in the sticks (where cell signal disappears and mountain lions start to look at you funny), I’ve got your back.
As a full-time Black Hills real estate agent, I help clients navigate every kind of property deal—from cozy starter homes to scenic land with killer views. My job is to make the real estate process easier, smoother, and a whole lot less stressful (and maybe even fun, dare I say?).
I’m proud to hold several real estate designations that help me serve my clients better, including:
SRS – Seller Representative Specialist (because pricing, prep, and strategy matter),
ABR – Accredited Buyer’s Representative (because buying a home should feel exciting, not overwhelming), and
MRP – Military Relocation Professional (because our military families deserve seamless transitions and extra care).
When I’m not helping buyers and sellers close deals, you’ll find me chasing my three kids, tagging along with my amazing wife Lindsey, or behind a camera capturing weddings, land, and everything in between. I also served for 5 years as a reserve police officer, so you could say I know how to keep cool in high-pressure situations—like negotiating that dream home or handling tough inspections.
I believe real estate should be personal, honest, and just a little bit witty. I’m not here to “just sell you a house.” I’m here to be your guide, your advocate, and your go-to local real estate resource in the Black Hills.
So whether you're Googling "top real estate agents in Rapid City", "how much is my house worth in the Black Hills?", or "is now a good time to sell my home in South Dakota?"—you’re in the right place.
Let’s make moves. And maybe laugh a little while we do.
